Talk to the assistant

Open the assistant and ask it something. It answers from your brain and can do things for you.

Open it

Click Assistant at the top of the menu, or press Cmd+I (Ctrl+I on Linux and Windows). It opens as a side column. The … menu in its header switches it to a movable window or the full screen.

Send a message

  1. Type in the message box and press Enter.
  2. To speak instead, click the microphone (Record voice note). Your words are written into the box for you to check and send.
  3. To share a file, click the paperclip (Attach images or documents). The assistant reads it for its answer and also files it into your brain.

A first message to try: “What can you help me with?”

Ask it to do things

The assistant has tools, so plain requests work:

  • “Make a note that the gate code is 4821.”
  • “Add a task to renew the car licence.”
  • “Remind me on Friday at 3pm to call the plumber.”
  • “Turn this into a page.”

Any tool you have set to need approval waits under Pending until you approve it.

Start over

Use New chat in the header for a fresh conversation. Previous chats in the … menu opens earlier ones. Your memory stays the same in every chat.
