Tasks and events

Track what you need to do in Tasks, and put dated things with reminders in Events.

Tasks

A task has a title, a status, a priority and an optional due date. Statuses are To do, In progress, Blocked and Done.

  1. Open Tasks and create a task.
  2. Fill in Title, Priority and Due, then save.
  3. Open the task to add a Checklist of steps or leave comments.

Switch between the list and the board with the view toggle. On the board, drag a card to change its status. Blocked tasks sit in the In progress column with a badge.

The quickest way is to let tasks come out of conversation:

  • “Add a task: order the replacement seal, high priority, due Friday.”
  • “What’s overdue?”
  • “Mark the seal task done.”

Tasks never notify you on their own. For a reminder, use an event. For a recurring nudge, use a heartbeat.

Events

An event has a start, an optional end, a location, a reminder and a repeat rule.

  1. Open Events and create an event.
  2. Fill in Title and Starts.
  3. Pick Remind: at start, 5 or 15 minutes, 1 hour or 1 day before.
  4. Pick Repeat if it recurs, and an optional Until date.
  5. Save.

Or ask: “Put the site inspection in for Tuesday at 9, remind me an hour before.”

An event’s page has Add to calendar, which downloads an .ics file.

Where reminders arrive

Reminders go to Telegram or the mobile app. Set this under Reminder delivery in Settings > Profile. By default a reminder follows the surface you last messaged from.

Times use your profile timezone, so “tomorrow at 3pm” means your 3pm. See Profile and appearance.

Subscribed calendars

Calendars you subscribe to in Settings > Calendars show here too. They are read-only copies. Change those events where they live.

If it fails

  • No reminder arrived: pair Telegram or the mobile app first. See Connect Telegram.
  • Everything is a few hours off: your profile timezone is wrong.
